The City of Montbéliard

What I see here...
The Saint Maimboeuf Church. I like this church so much, kind of strong, powerful, standing over there, looking at the town!
Built between 1850 and 1875 to commemorate the Roman Catholic Church's reconquest of this bastion of Lutheranism after Montbeliard was reclaimed by France.
Ponis front of Saint Maimboeuf church.
Montbeliard was part of Germanic empire for four centuries. (It became part of French in 1793. )
The castle of the Würtemberg Dukes dominates the town! it is located on a rock bar in overhang of the city of Montbeliard.
The main building, HenrietteTower (15th cen.) & Frédéric Tower (16th cen.)
In the yard of castle, the flowers are everywhere ...
when I arrived here, I was kind of surprised seeing all this flower in a city!
A woman behind a window of the castle !

Museum in the castle presenting various artworks
It is nice to go there and visit the castle and museum inside of it!
Center of city in the light!
The Christmas Market ( about  hundred and forty craft workers ).
At nightfall, you can see over 65,000 lights shining in the winter sky. These are the Christmas lights, which emphasize the old buildings & the pedestrian streets.
Apparently every year, part of Christmas Market,  is about one country,...
Guest of honor for this year was Peru.
A Peruvian in handicraft booth!
And the rest of Christmas Market is full of French handicrafts.
A woman in a traditional dress.
Despite the cold season, the beautiful artworks, pleasant odor, and tasteful food, gave me a warm feeling about Christmas.
Le Chocolot!
Chocolate is all over the place, with different tastes and different shapes!
You know what?!
Staying in this part of France, near Switzerland & close enough to Belgium, is a little dangerous, you may overdose on chocolate!
A family patiently teaching skating to their daughter.
A girl in the corner, my favorite photo in this album,...
Le Marco Polo, I should go there one day and have some pizza!
Hmmm,..   you can’t imagine how much I like this scenery!
I enjoy walking, while I go home from university & see this in front of my eyes.
Fall, my favorite season! Another thing that I like about this town is the splendid landscapes on the various bridges over the river crossing the center of town.
I call it Miss Havisham's Mansion!, it has very beautiful garden, but I didn’t see anybody there, what a pity, I think it would be a great place if it is looked after carefully!
Friendship,... every time I see these 4 beautiful house, I can't help smiling!
:o) they are over there, beside each other for more than hundreds of years!
"Seul avec loup", one of the most interesting exposition that I have ever seen in my life about multimedia...
It is difficult for me to explain here the idea and goals of the exposition. If you like to read more, you can go to their site :

Musee de l'Aventure Peugeot!
The history of the Peugeot family and the company are directly linked to one region: eastern France, Montbeliard.
The Lion, the symbol of the make, is also on the coat of arms of Franche-Comté, the birthplace of the family.
The logo of the Peugeot (the Lion) has been evolved over the years, this one however, looks much more like a mouse than a lion! ;o)

Montbéliard is a small city in eastern France, in the department of Doubs of the Franche-Comté region, some 400 kilometers (250 miles) southeast of Paris.
When I arrived here, a dear friend told me, in first couple of weeks you'll hate this town, then after couple of months you'll fall in love with it!!!..

Now, I think my friend was right,... the smell of fresh baguette and lawn grass after a rainy night, and smiling old French ladies saying "Bonjour" on the fogy day,... Yes,... I love this town and happy to be here, it is nice place to see and experience the French culture!

And at the end, I would like to explain a little about this album, I worked on every photo, I added the contrast, And exaggerated the colors, I put some texts about Montbeliard, as a typographic,... And,.. and I injected persian style on most of the photos,...  perhaps,  I also  wanted to emphasize my background with my new perspective!!
