Very Special 1984 TVR Tasmin 280i Coupe
This is a very rare and special opportunity to acquire a virtually
brand new 1984 TVR 280i coupe, and one of perhaps approximately only 2
dozen US-spec 280i coupes imported into the US and documented by the
TVRCCNA Model Registry. It is also believed that this is only the third
US-spec 280i coupe produced in 1984. This car was originally owned by
the late Peter Bircumshaw of Georgia, who was the importer of the
Tasmin and 280i series TVR in 1983 and1984 out of his shop in
Shenandoah, GA. Peter was known as the Tasmin/280i guru at that time
and was known for his engine performance enhancements as well as other
upgrades he developed for the wedge series TVR.
This particular car is serial number BFH1062 and is fitted with special
five spoke Momo alloy wheels. The car is black with a contrasting tan
interior and has only 39 ORIGINAL MILES…yes…you read that
correctly, only 39 original miles.
Peter made some special modifications and upgrades to this car
including European bumpers, a custom radiator and oil cooler, side
exhausts, and the engine is a special high compression version built
for TVR by Ford SVO in Jacksonville, Florida. It is also fitted with
the European rear taillamps instead of the smaller Federal models.
I cannot emphasize what a rare and special car this is. It’s in excellent condition and ready to be driven and enjoyed by a TVR enthusiast.
This is not your run-of-the mill wedge TVR. For more information, contact Barry Bircumshaw via e-mail at eurosportofcharlotte@hotmail.com or call 704-921-0690.

1985 TVR 280i, #BDH1140, white w/tan interior and black top.
Under 3,000 actual miles. That's right, LESS THAN 3,000 ORIGINAL
MILES!!! This car was bought new by the seller's uncle. Not long after
buying the car, he got a job in New York City, but didn't take the car
with him. He bought a house in New Jersey and that's where the TVR was
stored until he sold it to his nephew some time later. According to the
seller, the only things needing attention are some cracks in the
leather on the seats, and the power mirrors which don't work (may just
be the switch).
Here is an opportunity to get a virtually brand new 1985 280i for a
fraction of the original retail price.
Owner lives in the metropolitan Philadelphia area. For more information, contact Jim Terway at 856-430-4402 or e-mail him at jterway@camden.rutgers.edu

3000S with Ford 302 V8 and T-5 Transmission
My TVR 3000S convertible with a FORD 302 HI-PO V8, coupled with a
T-5 transmission is now for sale. The car is a past "WOODWORK" award
winner and is in immaculate condition. Everything has either been
replaced or restored,
inside and out, top to bottom. Very fast, very reliable. $25,000.00
firm.
Contact: pauleddy@comcast.net. Detailed pictures to serious buyers
only, upon request.
Serial No. BDH1277, built March 1985. Finished in Charcoal with navy
interior and navy cloth top. Car has only 38,000 original miles and has
been gone through extensively. The car was repainted in the original
factory color and has been fitted with a new cloth top, new carpeting
and insulation, very good interior, and interior wood has been
refinished.
The car also has a new engine and new clutch assembly, a new aluminized
exhaust system with stainless steel mufflers, four new tires with less
than 1,000 miles on them, new front shocks, new front ceramic brake
pads, new radiator, all new engine hoses and a new Sony CD Radio with
four speakers and amplifier.
This car has been garage kept, has all books and manuals, and is in
excellent condition. The only thing this car might need is to have the
air conditioning system serviced but I haven’t used it in the
past.
This car is a great driver and only needs a new home. Yes, you can find
cheaper 280is out there, but by the time you bring one of them up to
this standard, you’ll have a lot more than the asking price
invested. Asking $9,995. Contact Art Prim (NJ) at 856-701-8748 (cell)
or by e-mail at ARTPRIM@aol.com
1979 TVR 3000S
About 53K original miles on it. It has a Ford
“Essex” 3.0 liter V6 with a Ford 4 speed. I am the second
owner and this car is in completely un-restored condition. It is 100%
original except a few items listed here, but I have the originals in a
box and they are all in perfect condition and will be included in the
pictures. I have everything that has ever come off the car including
the points when they have been replaced. I still have the original
window sticker, spare parts manual, 100% records, and marketing
literature.
1) Steering wheel has been replaced with a wood wheel.
2) Coil upgraded
3) 2nd hood latch release mechanism installed (apparently the single
mechanism stressed the hood and this relieved it)
4) Side mirrors replaced with Triumph mirrors
5) The addition of an electric fuel pump to aid starts after the car
had been sitting. The switch is in the ashtray and is switched off
after the car is started. It starts right up after sitting with this
feature.
6) Gearshift replaced with wooden piece to match steering wheel
7) Air cleaner replaced with aftermarket piece
8) More efficient radiator
9) Lever latch seatbelts
10) Catalytic converter has been removed and is included in the parts
11) I also have an additional brand new windshield
I have had no issues with the car; the engine and transmission are
solid as well as everything else. The only thing the car actually needs
is the tires are very old. They are not worn, but they are old and
should be replaced if the car is going to be driving a lot at high
speed. The seats were re-filled by the previous owner and are
excellent, but the head rests will need the same thing. The brakes and
rubber are great in the car and it is started and driven at least
around the neighborhood frequently. It’s not in long term storage
condition.
I will be happy to provide any additional photos and information.
I’m asking $19,500 for it and I am located in northern Colorado.
