This daytrip was our first offer whatssoever and is still the most popular! After you phoned us, we'll pick you up at 12:00 o 'çlock in front of 'The cultural heritage information centre' at the citadel in Sighisoara. If you want to be picked anywhere else in Sighisoara, or if you want to start your tour in Medias, please let us know before 10:00 oçlock in the morning!

From here we will leave for a 7 hours trip along the fortified churches of the former Saxon area. We'll go partly over unpaved roads to the lesser known villages in the Tarnava Mare area. There's a 1 hour taking guided tour of the biggest and most beautiful fortified church of Biertan included. Biertan used to be the bishopsseat of the Lutheran Saxons for 3 centuries and to the Saxons it's still one of the important towns in Transilvania. Next to this touristic highlight we'll visit 3 more off road Saxon fortified churches, less known but most of our guests find these at least as interesting as Biertan! At noon Eyetours arranges a simple though great picknick in nature, next to a beautiful lake. In the afternoon we'll go to the 'stana', to see the shepherds at work. Around this time the sheep come down from the meadows to be milked, you can milk as well! We'll taste fresh cheese and get a good impression of shepherd life in Transilvania. You 'll be guided by two enthousiast guids, who know this area, its history, culture and nature very well and are open to answer all your questions. This trip we make with the Romanian Aro 328, an extended 4x4 Romanian jeep. You'll be back in Sighisoara around 18:30.
