George M. Watson, MD is our newest edition to Seneca Eye Surgeons after recently completing his comprehensive ophthalmology training at the prestigious UC Davis Eye Center at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. His mentor, Dr. Jeffrey J. Caspar, MD, trained Dr. Watson in state of the art refractive and cataract surgery. In addition, he excelled in the medical evaluation and surgical treatment of age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, as well as oculo-plastic surgery. Having been a part of one of the largest trauma centers in California, he will contribute to our rural communities emergency eye care.
Born and raised in Fredonia, New York, Dr. Watson and his family are returning to their home area to educate and treat our communities eye care needs. He completed his medical training at the University of Buffalo in 2006, earning the highest honors of Alpha Omega Alpha as well as the Gold Humanism Award. Dr. Watson is accepting new patients in Jamestown, NY and Warren, PA. He will be organizing and participating in many community oriented eye care lectures located at our Pine Grove Ambulatory Surgery Center.
