OUR MISSION STATEMENT

"To work in partnership with others to create a sustainable resource which improves the health and well being for people in Wythenshawe and increases their ability to participate in the wider community”

The Tree of Life is a centre for health and well-being, in the heart of the Woodhouse Park area of Wythenshawe. We take a holistic approach, offering services in support of physical, emotional, financial, mental, and spiritual well-being.

For all the latest news, events and photos of what's happening at the Centre why not take a look at the Tree of Life Centre diary, (or blog as they're sometimes called). To go there, just click this link

How we began
The Tree of Life Centre successfully operates in dual premises owned by St Marks United Reformed Church (URC) on Oatlands Road, Woodhouse Park, Wythenshawe. The roots of the Tree of Life are its Community Shop, which was established in 1984 through the collection of unwanted furniture through a partner church - The Wilmslow URC - that was sold at locally affordable rates in St Marks URC church hall.

Thus began a church and community project, which has since grown and developed in response to the needs of the deprived community in which it is located. In 1996, the health awareness and promotion elements of the Centre were sprouted. By January 2002, both the community shop and the community health and well-being services were brought together under a management committee as the Tree of Life Centre.
