XMahjongg launcher ================== This simple application is just a helper for Xmahjongg, so the user can choose the options and launching Xmahjongg through a Graphical User Interface instead of typing terminal commands. Requirements ============ X11 must be installed and running Get X11 for MacOSX at http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/x11 It is free (but Apple would like to know who you are) Install ======= You can run the application directly after you opened the disk image by double-clicking the launcher application, so there is no need to install anything. If you choose to put the application somewhere else you have two options: 1) copy the entire contents of the disk image to the same location. This should work. 2) store the launcher seperately from the the rest. In this case you need to make an alias to the Xmahjongg folder and store it in the same folder as the launcher. The alias should be named "xmahjongg". What is does ============ The launcher creates a unix command that a user would otherwise have to type in from the choosen options and executes this commands (actually, there are two commands, which you can see if you open the disclosure triangle at the bottom of the screen). Caveat ====== The launcher stays alive as long as the user doesn't quit it. The launcher does not need to stay alive while you play mahongg, although, if you choose new in Xmahjongg after you quit the launcher, Xmahjongg will quit, too. What is included ================ - xmahjongg (build from the original sources, no modifications were made) - XMahjongg launcher (helper to easily choose options) - README (the original readme from the source distribution) - Readme(launcher).txt (this file) Is there more ============= Xmahjongg is compatible with various tilesets and layouts that you can add (see the developers website). Since the disk-image is read-only, you need to copy the contents someplace where you have access to store and modify files.
