Death Star
Above: AMT/Ertl Millennium Falcon. Since the Falcon kit comes with no cockpit control panel, I scratchbuilt one from spare parts. It took First Place in Sci-Fi category at the April 2006 local Hobbytown model contest.
Above: MPC X-Wing and Y-Wing. Snap kits but glued, of course. Above: My first ERTL Death Star. Probably my last. Not a very exciting kit.

Slave One - Boba Fett

Slave One - Boba Fett - Engines
Above: MPC/ERTL B-Wing and TIE Interceptor. These are the snap kits, too, but are glued.
Above: A modified A-Wing. I added a small torpedo launcher behind the cockpit. Another MPC snap kit. Above: The AMT version of Slave I. The symbol on Boba's ship is not canon but looks cool! It is a decal of the image on his shouder armor. To my surprise, this one took Best of Show at the April 2006 local Hobbytown model contest!

Above: AMT/Ertl Jedi Starfighters from Episode III. I had no reference shots of the bottom of the fighters so I got a little creative with the color scheme.
Above: Royal Guard TIE Interceptor. Based on a design from Star Wars Galaxies. Used the MPC snap kit and two spare wings from another.

Darth Vader's TIE Fighter
Above: Star Wars Episode II Asteroid Diorama. Both ships are from the Fine Molds kits. The asteroids were created using Woodland Scenics plaster for railroad dioramas. It took first place in Sci-Fi at the April 2005 local Hobbytown model contest. Above: Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, the AMT/ERTL kit.

The AMT/ERTL large X-Wing kit. I painted the red striping on the side of the main hull in Testors Acryl British Crimson and also painted that color over the decals on the wings to match. The weathering was done in dry brush and charcoal stick. I used reference pictures for the weathering from Red Three, the studio X-Wing that was part of 2008's traveling Star Wars exhibit. Combined the X-Wing and Vader's TIE into a simple chase scene.
