Johnny has been with me for a long long time, the first time I saw him I instantly fell in love with him. That was back in the early 80s in Nightmare on Elm Street. I still remember his name in the movie was Glen and I remember that because after seeing it whenever I liked someone I called him a Glen. Johnny became synonymous with handsomeness to me. I've seen and liked all of his movies with the exception of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, having read the book I couldn't enjoy this portrayal of Hunter S. Thompson's adventures. IMO Bill Murray did a way better job in Where the Buffalo Roam. Anyway Johnny has a big plus because he revealed himself as a great director and writer. I loved The Brave where he pulled a Barbara Streisand (only successfully) by writing, acting and directing this excellent film. So now we know that what he has inside his head is as good as the head itself.
