Although I had seen him before, I really started paying attention in the Bigas Luna film Huevos de Oro. If you haven't seen movies by Bigas Luna, I recommend them all. I haven't seen even one that I didn't like. Anyway I've seen all that Benicio has been in since then, and being an early follower I was very proud when he was nominated for (and the happiest when he won) the Oscar for Best Actor In A Supporting Role in Traffic. Hopefully it was just the first of more to come.
