iMovies In the
Classroom
Creating iMovies in the
classroom allows all students to find a way to shine. The student
that struggles with content area subjects can demonstrate a host of
other strengths from creating storyboards to building scenery. When
making a movie, students dig deep and give their best effort. The
motivation factor is a powerful tool to increase skills in writing,
collaboration, and respect. Just one look at Mrs. Pallotta's
students and you can see they're hooked!
Students in Mrs. Bissetta's Social
Studies Class Create Explorer Hits
Mrs. Bissetta
presented a unit on explorers and gave her students a choice of how
they would like to present their knowledge. Some students took
advantage of the opportunity and decided to write songs and present
them. They used a computer, a microphone, and Audacity, an
application that records. If you would like to sample their
