The Google calendar is a great resource for keeping up-to-date on what is happening at Rothwell United. You can also create your own calendar free by going to www.google.com, look under "More" for the calendar link. You can then do a search and add the Rothwell calendar. Faith Builds 2009
Willing hands and generous hearts will build new home near Rothwell Church

On June 15, shovels were in the ground to build a Habitat for Humanity home for Lily Alfaro and her two sons, Ales, 8, and Christian, 10. This new home will be built by the faith community in the National Capital Region and Rothwell will be part of the process.
Not only has Rothwell committed over $4,000 towards the project but is also getting involved on the worksite. (click here to download the full story)

Corkery Road is coming to Rothwell - Traditional Irish, Scottish, Newfoundland Music on Saturday, October 10th at 7 pm. There will be refreshments, door prizes and of course, free parking. Advance sales will be $15 and available in September. Check out their website at www.corkeryroad.ca

Bell Ringers - Alpha Ringers (Grade 4 to early teens-Thursdays 4pm), Youth Ringers (teens -Mondays 7pm) and Adult Ringers (all ages -Thursdays at 6:45pm from September to June.
"Just Listen" CD - This cd produced by the Rothwell Choir is now for sale in the Fellowship Hall following the service. There are only a limited numberavailable and the cost is only $10. each
Nursery: Please note that the nursery is always available for parents to use during our church serices. We will not havvve any staff in the nursery although parents are most welcome to use the facilities. Starting September 13th, the regular staff will be back in the nursery.
ROTHWELL PRAYER GROUP - The Rothwell Prayer group will be meeting at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel. REMINDER - In the Narthex there is a pad and pencil, and a box in which to place prayer requests.
Stamps to Bibles Rothwell collects used stamps that are given to the Canadian Bible Society who buy bibles for distribution throughout the world. Please take care not to tear the stamp and try to leave a portion of the envelope around the stamp. Please deposit the stamps in the "Stamp" box in the Narthex.
Please remember to collect 28 oz cans during the summer for our Christmas puddings. Christmas is not that far away!
Pastoral Care Team: Rothwell United Church is blessed to have a trained and dedicated Pastoral Care Team. On Sunday they are identified by the green name tags and heart symbol or you can call the church office at 613-746-0820.
Christian Singles and Single Again Group meet after church for lunch and various other times through the week. Potlucks (see the Google calendar) are often held on Friday evenings.
