Critics: Success a Difficult Road For New Britney AlbumMusic industry sources this week showed a bit of cynicism regarding potential long-term sales abilty for Britney Spears' latest release. Her new album, simply named Britney, hit stores nationwide during midnight sales Tuesday morning. The 19-year-old pop diva will have to do without one of her key demographics during her third crack at the music industry, analyst Steven Hardy said Monday night. "Pedophiles loved Britney Spears," he said, "but that fantasy is gone. Sure, she still looks pretty hot, but these guys are searching for a younger talent now that Britney isn't jail bait anymore." Sexual deviant Brent Thompson, 43, said Britney hasn't been the slightest bit arousing since she turned 18 years old. "Her obvious breast augmentation actually made her look like a woman rather than a steamy, hot little girl that seemed to want sex from somewhat fat and balding older men", said hopeless pervert Benny Jones. Hardy said the album should still be a hot seller among 12-year-old girls. Reporters Monday asked Hardy whether Spears' musical talent could mean sales success among more seasoned music fans. "Talent," Hardy said sarcastically. "That's pretty funny. I'll have to remember that one." |
