STUDIO OPENING PARTY AT THE COLONIAL

A Number of Art sudios at the Colonial have an Opening and a performance by All The Pretty Horses.

I don't know about the others but we had to put a lot of work to convert a working studio with paintings half done, coffee cans full of brushes, and paint scattered all over, into a make-do gallery for the basement-artists opening at the Colonial. We purchased spot lights and extension cords so we could hang paintings on walls in the corridors. A few days before the opening we strung extension cords on the ceiling pipes and set lights up. The night before we got large bottles of wine and beer from Surdyks.

The studio openings went very well, between all of us we pulled in three or four hundred people. Later on there was a set by All the Pretty Horses.
