FISH ICONOGRAPHY

I had been using fish a lot when I made hand-painted t-shirts. Soon fish became an important part of the iconography I used in paintings as well. Fish were always represented in profile, and they occupied most of the space. They were always depicted as a stylized fish skeleton, or as a fragmented impressiono.

Most of this work shows the fish surrounded by an environment (see Fish-1) Later on, when I worked with inscriptions, and during the series of cross-paintings, the fish motif appeared here and there.
