Valeo Starter Modification
 
This is the famous Columbian bulletproof modification of the Valeo starter. Concept courtesy of Tiberio Jaramillo who stopped by on the way to Alaska
 

   

Disconnect Battery/Remove Valeo Unit.
Remove the two 8mm nuts.
Remove dust cover.
Undo the brush lead.
Drill out the 2 pop-rivets.
Undo the 3 torx bolts to seperate motor.
Revieve spring/ Remove brush assy.
Pry off dust cap at end of the spindle.
Remove c-clip on the end of spindle.
Clean out magnet housing.
Parts ready for re-assembly.
Roll out 5mm dia. strips of steel putty.
Pack strips around each magnet.
