Introduction to Kayaking class covers entering your Kayak, balance, wet exits, paddling strokes, rescue techniques, proper use of equipment, safety, and ESKIMO rolls. We will also discuss: buying equipment, types of Kayaks, places to go, running white water rivers, Kayak touring, and Kayaking organizations.

Videos, demonstrations, lectures, games, and lots of HANDS ON practice.

Equipment provided. Bring swim suit and towel and nose plugs (optional) to first class. Materials: Kayaking book (optional). Learn in a safe controlled environment Class held at the O.C.C. Orchard Ridge pool, H-Building. At the west end of campus between Orchard Lake road and Farmington road just south of I-696 (Reuther Freeway) in Farmington Hills.

   Seniors will receive a 20% tuition discount on all classes
1. Proof of age 60 before the first day of class for semester for 
   which discount begins.
2. Discount applies to tuition only.

   registration.
