Cheat Narrows
"The Narrows" is where the Cheat river runs along side West Virginia route 72,
just upstream (south) from Albright (the Canyon put in). The Narrows is mostly
pools and class II or II+ drops with one solid III, called calamity, near the
middle. When the level gets above five feet or so, the drops mostly turn into
big waves except for Calamity which turns into a very BAD hole.
