Pot of Gold is the story of a guy who appears to have locked his keys in his car and is trying to open the door with a coat hanger when he is helped by a passerby. Freewaves at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, Bumbershoot, the Seattle Arts Festival, and on KTEH, a PBS affiliate, on its series Video i. Just Go Away is an experimental piece which plays with the interaction between the subject and viewer. The voice heard in the video can either represent the viewer or the subject. Both are staring at each other. Towards the end of the video, there is audio manipulation to mock the fact that both are staring. Most videos try to keep the viewer's eyes on the screen. I thought I would try the opposite. This video was an attempt to make the viewer feel uncomfortable while watching it. This video also deals with the issue of the insecurity of teenagers. The subject is extremely vulnerable. Just Go Away was shown at the Artists' Television Access in San Francisco in 1996 at Teen Riot! II. This video was edited on an analog edit bay.
