My
Haunts: The
places I spend most of my time on-line...
Macintosh
Computing Realted:
- The
Apple Computer Home Page
Apple Computer Inc's home on the web. Check out product discriptions,
the on-line Apple Store, and loads of other Apple goodies. If
you are, were or will be buying a Mac, or even just considereing
it, this is the FIRST place to go...
- The
MacAddict Forums:
A Discussion board on the website of MacAddict
magazine, a publication I recommend Highly. It is your on-stop
place for help with your Mac, discussing your unhealthy affinty
for said Mac, and all sorts of other tech -talk (not all
of which is Mac-centric). Sure we spend more time bickering
than talking about computers, but its that sense of disfunctional
family that keeps me coming back...
- The
Macintosh New Network (aka MacNN):
Updated several times a day (seroiusly, on a busy day, you
can see somehting new every 30 minutes or so, and they even
do live coverage of Keynotes and product announcements...) this
is a great place to hear about recent developements concerning
the Macintosh community. If there is a new periphrial or a new
freeware program, they'll tell you al about it. (There is
a sort of Apple Nerd debate about MacNN
v.s The MacMinute, and
honestly, I think they post post the same stories at almost
the same time, so I keep my allegence to MacNN, since I have
been going there for years, I also prefer MacNN's Discussion
Boards...)
Other
Computing Realted:
- The
Palm Info Center:
Great place for all the latest software, news and rumors about
Palm related topics. The forums are also a great place to go
if you have questions about using or buying a new Palm!
Other
Hang Outs:
- Craig's
List:
If you thought eBay was a great way to find deals on the web,
you have never been to Craig's List. It is a free classifieds
web site broken down by region, so you can find a nice home
for your stuff and not have to worry about shipping, or go look
for a great "whatever-you-need" that you can probably
get at a great deal and more than likely pick up within days!
Audio:
My favorite Sounds of the Web...
College
A Cappella:
- The
Fordham Ramblers:
Over a century of Spreading Glee. I am a proud alumni of the
Fordham Ramblers. Check out thier website, I designed it and
thier logo! Check out thier concert schdule, iff your in the
area, they are worth cehcking out if you enjoy the college a
cappella scene...
- The
Albion Euphonics:
My brother was a member of this group, look for thier debut
CD, Into Our Own, available from thier site, I especially
like Breakfast at Tiffany's and Out of my Head, ;)
Bands:
- Of
A Revolution:
Describing a band never does it justice, so just go check them
out...
- Five
Iron Frenzy:
Like I said, Describing a band never does it justice, so just
go check them out...
Radio
Stations :
What
I Listen-To:
- My
Listen-To Profile:
Want to see exactly what I listen to, like who and how often
and so on? Here is my Listen-To
profile, it litereally keeps track of all the music I listen
to on my machine and updates the page every few minutes. Go
to Listen-To and see if they support your music player with
your Computer and sign up for a free account, it is a fun way
to find other people who like your music and a great way to
find other music you'll like through other people who you have
common interests with...
The
Web's Moving Pictures: A
few of my favorite Movie/Film Related Web spots...
Macintosh
Computing Realted:
- The
Internet Movie Database:
If you ever needed any info about an actor director, producer,
movie, soundtrack or anything related to movies and The internet
Movie Database, or IMDB.com wasn't your first stop, then your
search was a lot harder than it had to be! Check out IMDB for
any movie questions or info, thier Actor bios are particularly
fun to browse when bored...
- Apple's
Quicktime Movie Trailers:
This is the best place to go see movie trailers on-line. Encoded
in a very High Quailty, for Quicktime by Apple and thier minions.
