| I paint about family the quieter moments in the lives of my subjects. I also recognize that there is a new black audience interested in art because they see reflections if themselves for the first time. Art for me is a path of constant self discovery. I love the process. If I achieve little else, my work must move children to a greater belief in themselves. |
