| I have the guilty luxury of exploring how light pools in a tulip, meanders across soft contours of wet sand or dapples brilliantly up a garden path. I strive to preserve such heart quickening images on paper — a process of anticipation, careful planning, trepidation, layer upon layer of transparent watercolour and increasing confidence and excitement, until an image emerges wichh most closely resembles the initial jolt of joy. |
