artist statement
The miniature red crab claw was interesting to me presented as it was in the halo of a rock pool unnoticed by children playing in an immense landscape. This piece was painted very quickly, almost too quickly,horizontally and on unforgiving paper the very next day. A week later I returned and could not find it.
