Cast and Characters

This page was last updated 02/08/2001.

Pub is a pretty intricate work, so to do a comprehensive cast list requires a great deal of watching and note-taking. Please bear with me as I try to compile this list, and do send in any feedback.

Like the radio series, Pub is built on a foundation of versatility (that means all the actors play several parts). Almost the entire “light entertainment” department of the BBC make an appearance at some time or another and many have already worked together. The regulars are:

More to come soon, including:

That bloke out of Spaced who ran Silent Reading, the other comic shop, but I haven’t got his details yet. Stay tuned, kids! He plays Renovation Reg (1.1) and Firework Frank (1.1).

But who plays Mad Dog Mick or the “First Day at Work” gangster? Who buys the Millennium Bridge, made once every million years?

Who was in the radio programme?

For definitive information on the radio series, see Radio HaHa. But please remember to come back to your local afterwards: don’t get sidetracked. And RHH doesn’t mention the TV series, as it hasn’t been updated for about 2 years. Pity, as it is excellent.

Peter Serafinowicz/Alistair McGowan (series 2) as two completely different Garries. Whilst Michael Cumming has worked with Alistair McGowan before, he went with Peter Serafinowicz, in his first starring TV rôle! (Phantom Menace doesn’t count.)

Phil Cornwell as Barry

John Thompson as Dodgy Phil

Debra Stephenson

Kim Wall

Edith Piaf
