Why on earth would you do that? 2

If you haven’t seen the stapler section of this site, go there now! And if you have, a quick reminder of it now would do you no harm.

Mission Statement

Well, people seemed to like the whole stapler in jelly thing, so I’m going to pathetically recreate former glories with an incident from series 2, namely when Tim superglues Gareth’s phone together.

Things to look out for

So what is it that makes the stapler section so popular? Well, firstly, just the sheer audacity of attempting the feat deserves some credit, so in doing it again I’ve got that down. More importantly however, is the charm of me going wrong at almost every single stage, so I’ll have to do that this time as well. I’d like to make it clear now, that although some of the mistakes you will be reading about here are done for the sake of it, every mistake I made with the stapler in jelly was genuine.

The Equipment

You may think that there isn’t a lot to sticking a phone handset to the base, but you will need:

1. A Phone

2. Some Superglue

3. A hammer (not illustrated).

But surely it can’t be that easy?

Oh I’m sorry, I thought I was the expert? Remind me again why I have to put up with your whinging?

Sorry. You do run a really good site though.

Better. But at the same time, pitiable.

Now, taking my cue from IKEA, follow these pictorial instructions:

Disconnecting your phone is more important than you may at first think, but this is mainly here as a set up for some jokes I’ve made about leaving it plugged in a bit later on. Now apply the glue:

Does this get funny anytime soon?

I think what you meant to say was thank you for not putting the results of this experiment on this page, for I might inadvertently see them before I’ve had the chance to try it out for myself. Yeah right. Here’s what happened then, next page.
