Books

There are far too many books on comedy to list them (let alone read them), so I will give you a good starting point. If you’ve come to this site, you probably (?) like British TV comedy generally, so you will definitely like the Radio Times Guide to TV Comedy by Mark Lewisohn. This is a comprehensive encyclopaedia of British TV comedy from year dot to 1997 [new version now available] and includes a review of series one of SS, albeit a lukewarm one. Lewisohn’s opinions, however mind-blowingly wrong they may be, are always worth reading and the research behind this book is exemplary. Take a closer look here. Or just read it online at the BBC somewhere.

Let’s Go Shopping

The Stella Street Page is an associate of Amazon.co.uk. This means that if you follow these links, I will get a small proportion of the purchase price. The money I make from this is spent hosting the page.
