Farmington Elks 1986

Farmington Elks Lodge was instituted on December 18, 1955. Our first home was located above the bank building in Downtown Farmington. In 1968 we moved to 23666 Orchard Lake Road. That building served us well for nearly 30 years. Recently, the Lodge built a new buiding on 10 Mile Road, just around the corner from the former building.

With the new facility complete, the members have been able to concentrate on the Elks charities. We help needy families at Christmas time, raise money for the State Elks Major Project which supports handicapped children, give away two yearly scholarships, run an essay contest during our Flag Day celebration, support our Nation's war heroes in area hospitals and support our community's youth with such programs as the Hoop Shoot, Soccer Shoot and sponsoring drug free activities in the schools. We are always looking for more ways to help in our community. Recently, we helped a young Farmington Hills girl purchase a new voice activated computer when her's broke down. Along with our community work, we also serve the membership with many social activities. We have our own golf and bowling leagues, euchre twice a month, many special dinners and very reasonable prices in our regular food and beverage services.
