Method
Shake the chicken pieces in a paper bag containing the flour and salt & pepper. Brown the chicken in a heavy skillet using a small amount of vegetable oil. Drain off the excess oil and put the chicken in a shallow baking pan; set aside.
Brown the onion in vegetable oil in skillet, then add remaining sauce ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes.
Pour sauce over chicken and bake, uncovered, at 325degF for 1 hour until tender. Baste frequently.
Notes
Serve with corn on the cob, rolls, and mashed potatoes.
