My last Silicon Veggie: On Incrementalism


Even a little monthly columnist, gotten on the cheap, feels the pinch of print media!

Yes, August, 2009, after more than 5 years, marked the end of the Silicon Veggie column at the Metro Silicon Valley! They are discontinuing all freelance columnists. Freelancers can still submit for cover stories and other special features, but no more regular columns. I guess they'll make their staff reporters work a little harder. Hard to believe I was breaking the bank with the tiny sum I got for Silicon Veggie, but there you go.

I never missed a month in all those years, and here is my final column: Incrementalism.

Maybe once or twice a year they may ask the token veg*n to weigh in for their "Food" issues, but I'm done trying to persuade, induce guilt and reek of open-mindedness all at the same time. :)

As you probably know, my ongoing vegan musings will continue to be over at Veggie Goes Vegan.
