Sign a petition to keep Michael Vick out of the NFL for life

A permanent ban is the right thing to do

Infamous dog-fighting NFL player Michael Vick will be getting out of prison in January after less than 2 years in prison for the fighting, torture and murder of pit bulls on his property.

I'd like to send a clear message to the NFL that this guy should be banned for life from playing in the league.

And you can sign a petition saying just that here.

Here the message I added to my signature:

I am an NFL fan, having followed the the league, and the Forty-Niners in particular, for about two decades. Every heartwarming United Way commercial the NFL ever airs will be taken a little bit less seriously if you allow inhumane criminals like MIchael Vick to play alongside those players who really are role models and really do help their communities. The same should go for any player convicted of harming humans too, it goes without saying!!

To add a few more words: Just this weekend I was moved by several commercials featuring football players being active and giving back in their communities. Good for them.

The NFL shouldn't make a mockery of their work by letting people like Vick on the same field.
