Blogger completely erratic...makes some decisions for me

Hard to believe Google can be this blase about inconveniencing so many users

For the last two days Blogger has been completely unusable. Now all those other times when I saw people complaining about it, I never seemed to have the same level of problems. If I was just a bit patient everything seemed to eventually load and publish. But not this time. Since yesterday afternoon I have simply been unable to save a post in either draft or publish form.

As it happens I have a couple of clients for whom I need to make technology decisions in the next couple of weeks. Frankly I was already leaning against Blogger, mostly because it's starting to look the most primitive of any of the blog apps...and I don't care to spend tons of time messing with templates to make it look unprimitive.

But this latest trouble is making up my mind for me. I need a more reliable solution...and one that allows categories, has a better comment interface, does trackbacks etc....while I'm at it.

Really surprising that Google would go to the trouble of acquiring Blogger and then let it continue on with third-rate service.
