All I need to know about MSN Spaces is that they censor

End of story; game over; better luck next time; get back to me when you get it, Microsoft.

First of all, this BoingBoing post is hysterical.

But it also exposes that Microsoft, Robert Scoble's blogvangelist position there notwithstanding, DOES NOT GET IT.

Look, I'm not even particularly filthy myself. And I'm not particularly into reading about/watching other people's naughty bits on parade. But, I don't need Microsoft telling me what's naughty in my personal blog. Most personal blogs are probably read by a grand total of 10 people a day. And those 10 people also do not need Microsoft's protection.

What a load of crap.

And yet, I am perfectly willing to admit that the vast majority of regular folks don't care too much about censorship (hell, they're all for the Patriot ACT) so the product certainly may, like the mediocrity that is know as AOL, turn into a big-ass success for Microsoft.

But it's not the tool for me.
