Some ways to get to BlogHer for free...and how to hook up with your blog buddies once you're there

Contests, sweepstakes, first-come, first-serve sign-ups for cars/gas, Birds of a Feather, meet-ups, Rooms of Your Own, Tote Bag taglines, Newbie Mixers...the list goes on...

I wrote a post over at Worker Bees Blog about some of the ways you can get your butt to BlogHer with a little help from your friends or, in this case, a little help from BlogHer sponsors.

I am dying to see who gets together to do a Thelma and Louise road trip, courtesy of GM (and minus the Grand Canyon dive and trucker murders...but perhaps plus the Brad Pitt abs, if they're lucky,)

I also thought I would out some ways you can meet people once at BlogHer:

1. We are arranging a Newbie Mixer the night before the conference starts for all first-time BlogHer attendees. Hopefully that way no one walk into the gran ballroom on Day One and feels like they're the only one who doesn't know anyone.

2. In addition to the Sunday BlogHer OpenSpace, which will feature an agenda built in real-time that morning be whomever shows up, we are providing more ways you can "roll your own" conference on Friday and Saturday too, including topic-based Birds of a Feather meet-ups all day both days, and the opportunity to sign up for a Room of Your Own at a given time to invite your blog readers to come hang with you. Check out the details and find out how to reserve the Room of Your Own for yourself here.

3. Finally: not a way to meet people, but certainly to have EVERYONE meet you and your blog. Win the BlogHer Tote Bag tagline contest, and every single attendee will be walking around with your tagline, and your blog, on their tote bag.

Hope something piqued your interest out of the above...and that I'll see you in July in San Francisco :)
