I continue to be so troubled by the invocation invitation to Rick Warren

And Frank Rich does a pretty good job of capturing why

In today's New York Times.

I thank Rich for saying this:
Equally lame is the argument mounted by an Obama spokeswoman, Linda Douglass, who talks of how Warren has fought for “people who have H.I.V./AIDS.” Shouldn’t that be the default position of any religious leader? Fighting AIDS is not a get-out-of-homophobia-free card.
I think it's a shame on Christians everywhere that Warren gets special credit for focusing about the poor and the infirm. Which implies that most Christian leaders do not, hence his specialness. Which is a sad statement.

Look, I only want Obama to answer one question:

Would he invite a white supremacist or Neo-Nazi to have such a prominent role in his inauguration? Where does he draw the line?

No one is answering that yet, not him nor his spokespeople, but I would like to know.
