Musical divas need to chill, or at least not let Beyonce ruffle their feathers so much

The latest being Etta James

It wasn't so long ago that Aretha Franklin freaked out that Beyonce introduced Tina Turner as "the Queen" at least year's Grammy Awards.

That was pretty ridiculous, IMHO.

Now Etta James has worked herself into a lather that Beyonce, who played Ms. James in the recent movie "Cadillac Records", sang Janes' signature song "At Last" on Inauguration Night. EW's PopWatch blog has a more extensive quoting of Ms. James, who apparently doesn't consider Obama her president because he dared to have Beyonce sing "her song".

OK, people, get a grip!

Aretha Franklin doesn't own the title of "Queen". And let's not forget Tina Turner was the "Acid Queen"!

Etta James doesn't actually own the song "At Last". And she didn't write it.

No disrespect, but have some respect! Have some impulse control. Resist the urge to make an ass of yourselves. You ladies have a legacy to protect and polish up for posterity.

And Etta, I'm sorry to tell you, but I played Cyndi Lauper's awesome version of "At Last" at my wedding:
