Big old tip of the hat to Chris Carfi from the Social Customer Manifesto: He has pointed me to the blog of one of my musical heroes: Pete Townshend. The blog is mostly a serialized version of a novella that Townshend is writing. Which is interesting, and I'm sure I'l read. Plus he's getting TONS of comments. Kudos to Pete for trying a new way to reach out to his fans and find new ones for his writing.

But most thrilling to me are some of the mp3s he's posting...his own home demos, recordings of another artist who was inspired by his novella. Some of this is stuff you just won't be hearing anywhere else for a while.
