NYC taxis to start taking credit cards this fall

Woo. Hoo.

Cabs in Europe take credit cards. I have said for a long time that this is one way that Europe is truly superior to the U.S (I'm sure there are others, but isn't it odd that this is the one that sticks out in my mind?)

It's just such a drag to be required to pay cash for anything anymore, wouldn't you agree?

Well, starting in october NYC cabs will start to be outfitted with nifty credit card and GPS machines. The cabbies aren't happy, but I will be!
