More Good Reading on the FCC

Seriously, people, when is some of this going to bother the average person?

OK...they're investigating the Opening Ceremonies of the Athens Olympics!!! Bothered yet?

Public Television in NYC, for God's sake, cancelled a spot on the movie "Kinsey", because, you know, it was provocative. Kinsey's report came out in the 50s. We're getting more repressed and conservative than the 50s! Bothered yet?

You can meet a person who works for Parents Television Council, whose job it is to find smut on TV. OK, isn't this what the vaunted V-chip was supposed to be for? Why isn't this person at home controlling how much TV her children watch? Oh, right...we don't need parents anymore. we have the Parents Television Council to do that job! Bothered yet?

And in case you missed it a couple of weeks ago: Frank Rich does a pretty good job of nailing the hypocrisy behind the hysteria in this column.

So there you have it.

is anyone besides me (and Jeff Jarvis) remotely bothered yet??!!
