August 31: Benefit for the American Youth Scholarship Foundation at Santana Row

A good cause; a good location; a good price; a good time

Most benefits are a little pricey for my taste, and most benefits seem like they'll be a bit stodgy too. But I have high hopes for the Last Blast of Summer Fundraiser for the American Youth Scholarship Foundation.

First reason for hope: it's being held at El Jardin de Consuelo's outdoor restaurant at my favorite local hang-out, Santana Row (it's only a little over a mile from my house, so of course it's extremely convenient for me.)

Second reason to like it: the event is only $35 per person, so even someone like me, with more bleeding heart tendencies than actual unneeded cash in the bank, can afford to give.

So I've bought tickets for me and the S.O. If you think you might be going, let me know, and we can be charitable together.
