Thanks Duncan Sheik, I just spent a boatload of $$$

I couldn't resist his descriptions of the music he's currently digging, can you?

I've always liked Duncan Sheik as a pop artist, from his very first album on. And I loved his work in the Broadway musical Spring Awakening. He's really good at the poignant and morose, an I really like the poignant and morose.

So, when he shared his favorite dark listens with the New York Times today, I couldn't resist.

Without listening to so much as a 30-second clip, I bought Rachel Yamagata, Ray LaMontagne and Emiliana Torrini. To be fair I'd seen LaMontagne on Live form Abbey Road, and I already own one single of Yamagata's, but this is my first plunge into albums by each of them.

Now, to go listen.
