Book Club Choice #1: Lives of the Circus Animals by Christopher Bram

So many good books, so little time...we chose it out of a hat in the end

The great Book Club experiment has started. Many people bailed at the last minute, due to illness and work, but they claim to still want to know what the book is and come next time. We'll see.

We each had many books to propose, and in the end we narrowed it down to 3:

Middlesex
Gilead

and the one we eventually drew out of the at:

Lives of the Circus Animals by Christopher Bram, a novel about theatre folks in NY. And I wasn't even the one who proposed it!

I've ordered my copy from Amazon and look forward to digging in in a couple of weeks.

Actually the next meeting isn't until April 27th, so I probably shouldn't read it right away, lest I forget everything. I'm a very quick reader, but don't retain a ton of the fiction that I read.

The guy who proposed the book is tasked with bringing some discussion questions to the next meeting. And whoever hosts on the 27th will get to pick the next book.

Should be fun. Let's see if this Book Club lasts longer than a lot of the other ones I and people I know have joined.
