All in A Day's Work...

I need to remind myself sometimes that this is a VACATION, and thus it's ok to poke around and just relax in general - so besides doing that, I'll be using my timer tonight to trudge through some school work that needs grading - our grades are due Wednesday when we get back and it would feel good to be on top of things in that department since I have the time. The homestead HAS been hopping with projects thought - we cleared out my bro's never used "office" and changed it out for a nice little bedroom for Dave - voila:

We divided a whole mess of plants at my mom's old house last night - hostas, astilbli, some phlox, etc. and I planted all of them in the water pump garden. If we move, everything will be in a central location, and, I'm hoping, easier to dig up if needs be. I've been on a pysanka rampage, after seeing it on tv a few days ago and going on a search for supplies - Treasure Island had everything, surprisingly enough. I'll post finished pics tomorrow- they turned out to be very pretty - I didn't varnish them, but they look really nice already with the shine the beeswax left behind. Next year I have big plans for pysanka from our own eggs and our own beeswax :) I don;t know if it would work on brown eggs - I may experiment tonight. The current chick forecast is 1 rooster, 2 pullets - we'll see if we're right.

The house that is being sold "as is" on 5 acres looked promising - E and I did a drive-by yesterday. The outside is in nice shape, new vinyl siding and some new windows. My aunt has been really hard to reach since my cousin just had her baby (Olivia- very cute - we saw them both tonight) Hopefully I can get her to show us the house before break is over. OK, timer in hand, here I go - relax/file/clean/grade papers.
