On A Snowy Day....

Our snow stranded woes are a bit better now - G, our friend down the road, got his snowblower up and working again, so E and his dad are at least partially clearing the driveway. It's pitch black out now so I'm not sure how they're navigating! I ordered all of our seeds except my Pinetree order - I need to call about my aparagus.

Here it goes, and remember, this is for the CSA too....

Here's what I ordered from Burpee - overall they're the priciest, but these either were a good deal or only available from B.

I ordered my fruit trees and grapes, since they were on sale, from Gurneys ....

Three semi-dwarf peach trees, three dwarf apples - including McIntosh and yay! Granny Smith, my favorite, and two pears, also dwarf trees. I got a combo of three seedless grapes, including seedless Concord.

The rest of our fruit we got from The Cook's Garden

A blueberry collection of 4 plants, a raspberry collection of 12 canes, and 75 strawberry plants.

I have another order pending with Pinetree but there's no item number for 100 asparagus crowns, so I'll call tomorrow.

As far as bargains, Pinetree had the best price, by far, on seed potatoes and asparagus, and Gurney's had 19.99 for three vines of grapes, also a good deal.
