Snowed In...

And enjoying it! Nobody bothering us here at the Homestead today - given the 7 inches on the ground, the other 5 or 6 coming down, and the near white-out conditions on the roads. Of course, the cable modem certainly makes things much lovelier as well, as does having our own little egg factory out back. I geared up and did the chores this AM (E and the dog usually do the morning chores since I leave for work earlier) and collected my first egg - hooray. :) It's cool that they're laying relatively well even in the winter, since we don't have any supplemental heat or light out in the coop....

We'll paint the bathroom today - ahhh, it will be done! And I'll make the side shower curtain and hem the regular one off to get the fabric I need.... Finish the quilt, and of course, as I'm making myself do now, get my lesson plans done TODAY instead of waiting till tomorrow night. I know I'll feel better tomorrow but it's still a damn hard habit to break... Also on the agenda? I may finish up my cookie exchange stuff - need 6 dozen and right now I only have two doz. of the chocolate covered pretzals. I had mucho chocolate trouble last time - maybe some water got into the chocolate? I don't know, but hopefully this episode will go more smoothly. Now off to snap a pic of the Homestead in Snow.... Since most of my friends out there are also snowed in, here's the link E is currently addicted to (he loves board games, and apparently this site works well, especially for Monopoly): Games.com
