1986 Syncro, 15" S. African alloys & BFG tires. Handled well on & off... I loved our friends' Westy table when I was a kid, too. Upgraded to three point rear belts, w/ all VW parts. Multivan interior is comfy. And flexible. Really, really flexible. Just don't lose the seats! Tiico engine swap made Rex a daily driver, able to run with traffic on hills. Nice for going to school or for a picnic at the race track. Headlight relays, fat wire & e-code lamps worked great, esp. compared to ...
