| | First you need a 993. Iris Blue not mandatory. | |
| | | If you don't need a front plate, stop reading now. | |
| | | This old license plate will become a bracket - watch! | |
|
| | You'll need 4 bolts. These are from an old computer. | |
| | | DIY always requires beer. Hefeweizen recommended in summer. | |
| | | You'll also need hand tools to cut and make holes. | |
|
| | Start by trimming down OUTSIDE the existing holes. | |
| | | Voila. A Dremel tool would work, too. | |
| | | Bend the sacrificial plate at the top of the lettering. | |
|
| | On its way. Use as a template for drilling bumper cover. | |
| | | Fit the bracket just behind the nose of the car. Needs trimming. | |
| | | Voila. Ready for primer and paint. | |
|
| | Test fit. Bumper holes are 1/4" dia, halfway across flat area. | |
| | | Paint is useful, but if you do it right no one ever sees the bracket. | |
| | | Except for roadkill and mechanics, who get this view. | |
|
| | Test fit again, bolt to bumper cover. | |
| | | Bolt up license plate and call it a night. | |
| | | Nice & flush. Tested to 120mph at Summit Point. | |
