1972 Plymouth 'cuda 340
Original 4 speed car with matching numbers. Upgraded and updated to go, stop and turn corners. Owned from 1985-2005, gone now. Sniff.

Bodywork done in 1992, stored indoors since.
It held up pretty well, tho not show quality.
Body guy set fenders before valence, it no longer fit. Looked good anyway.
124,000 miles, and I drove about 4,000 after building the engine & suspen...
VA vintage plate - no tax, no inspection!
Trunk pad caused ugly surface rust. I wouldn't fit one to a newly restored car.
That's a new floor damaged, too. Grr.
14 years does leave some marks in the paint.
TTI dual exhaust, Koni shocks, XHD springs. Drove like a big sports car.
Rallye dash, with AC.
8 way power seats from a 1988 Porsche. You need some bolsters in this car.
If I could go back in time, I'd smack the guy who...
...cut the door panels for speakers.
I was a member of the Special Interest Auto Club in the mid-80s.
Tuff rim was added after re-covering with a generic kit. Looked OK.
The seats were a great add, comfy, supportive around corners and easy to do.
Pistol grip shifter looks great but I often ran a short lever with a ball.
124,160 miles
Somebody optioned this car pretty well in the day: AC, light pkg, more.
Reverse indicator
Pistol grip shifter
Seat belts were re-webbed by Ssnake-Oyl. Metal and plastic were in good shape...
... but 30+ year old nylon ain't real strong. I like being alive.
Another speaker hole. Grrr.
TSM rear disks (GM caliper, Lincoln rotor). Manual MC from a Diplomat.
Viper front caliper over 11.75" Cordoba rotor. Moderate pedal effort, great feel
1" front swaybar, factory 3/4" rear bar, 1.08" torsion bars, Koni shocks.
LCAs reinforced per factory Trans Am racing experience. New bushings all around.
Firm Feel Stage 2 steering box, 11/16" tie rods. Steering feel much like my 944.
Original block 0.030" over, TRW 10.5:1 pistons,
Steel crank, 2.02" J heads, 284/284/.484 cam
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, 600 double pumper
TTI headers and 2.5" exhaust.
Alum crossflow radiator, Lincoln elec fan
MP distributor & ignition, Diplomat master cylinder.
255/50-17 Kumho 712 tires on 17x8 Mustang rims (light, forged, cheap FTW!).
Headlights upgraded with relays, never dim
After 20 years of working when I had the chance
I think it came out pretty nice. Did I mention it drove great too?
What more can I say?
