October 2004, as seen from my phone...

Fri. 1

Power went out in Cupertino just before noon! All the pale engineers with only monitor and florescent lighting tans coming out into the sunlight. At least the emergency lights (and gates) in the parking garage still work! Slight traffic jam entails...

Power outtage continues to last about 12 hours, thus Shelley's party turns out to be a candle-light party.

Sat. 2

Things you notice the next day after a party in the dark

Clara @ her place, turning.

Sat. 9

Alex moves out of 450DM, and is replaced by... his younger brother! His collection of rocks, crystals, semi-precious stones, etc. that he has collected while rock-climbing/hiking/etc.

House next door looks to be having some kids bday party.

Sun. 10

Clara's friends Andy and Bryan decide to do a day-trip to Yosemite, so I went along. We did the so-called 4 mile hike, which is really about 4.6 miles, with an altitude change of 3200 feet over, each way ; leading from the valley floor to Glacier Point, where you can see Half Dome and lots of other some kick ass views Yosemite has to offer. If I find out where they have their pix stashed, I will post a link.

Fri. 15

Tom and Samantha and Brian were going to see The Phenomenauts in SJ, so having nothing better to do, we went along. Their van was the coolest.

Sun. 17

Clara, myself, Dave and Mindy went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We got to see the young Great White shark they have managed to keep alive in captivity for over a month. I did not take any pix of it because there are much better ones online. Instead, here's something you won't find online... yes, drinking from a 3 straw-long straw. Crazy!

Thu. 21

Met up w/ Vic and Steve in downtown Mt. View. I had called up my housemate Dave to see if he wanted to come down, and he said no, and jokingly said that Orkut was out of town anyways. Of course, who happened to be parked in front of my car...

Fri. 29

Directions to some party that we did not go to

Sun. 31

Most of these pictures are from the 4:20 Brass Tax renegade party. It was crazy, it was fun. Got to see Ben, Dan, and Odin again.

For Clara's birthday I took her to Santa Cruz, where we spent an hour soaking in a spa @ Well Within, and then had a great dinner @ ShadowBrook. Pictured: Appetizer - fried ? cheese w/ a mint marmalade sauce. Yum.
