More funny license plates - Greg should like this one (or not, since he will not be able to get it... in CA anyways - does it matter between states? I don't think so... ;-)

PDX - Paul in front of some elephant -ish statue by Powell's Technical Bookstore - Powells is a small chain of ridiculously large book stores - their main store is a "city of books"!

PDX - Japanese Gardens - sand garden (again, more zen - this sand garden actually plants instead of rocks [they had a sand/rock garden too] - the two figures are supposed to be a bottle of sake and a small bowl ;-)
PDX - Japanese Gardens - it is up on a hill, which has a nice view of the city
PDX - Sports museum... me doing pull ups *grin*
PDX - at nite we saw a jazz band - Jimmy Bennington - Midnight Choir - in the Blue Monk bar/club (picture is kinda dark, but hey - it goes w/ the theme;-)

Random downtown SEA #2
Fri. 28
SEA - Seattle City Center - Experience Music Project (EMP) building architecture
SEA - Seattle City Center - near the EMP - random art - lots of thin pieces of some material (wood, metal, plastic? not sure) that bend in the wind / if you push them... fun & trippy!
SEA - After EMP, we went for dinner - I stopped @ the Islander Tiki bar cuz of the name, and after a few many drinks, I wanted to take a picture of this great drink... I do not really remember why though... ;-)
SEA - Drink menu @ the Islander - I do recall wanting to remember how to make said drink (and the others, they all had neat names... too bad it's a bit blurry;-)...
Sat. 29
On way back home in OR - Right turn permitted without stopping sign! Kinda defeats the purpose of the stop sign...
