Clara's & Dave's coworker friend Ninian was having a house-warming. A few pix I took came out too dark, and then I was really drunk and in the pool / hot tub. But it was a good party, look @ all the shoes!:

Another Supper Happy Fun House party - 80's theme. Orkut was bartending, but again, no flash, too dark. Clara got sick, so I looked after her and did not have time to take more pix.

Vegas baby, VEGAS! Defcon trip #4. Lodging: Hard Rock Hotel. Vegas gets very hot, so fires start very easily. In my plane flight in I could see a dark column of smoke billowing somewhere in the city. After I landed and met up w/ Greg and Karmen and Mike in the hotel room, Greg was talking about how there fire is on the news, and we mentioned to Mike you can see the smoke from out or window. So he looks out the window, and sure enough, he sees fire!:

We're not quite sure if someone from the upper floor threw out a cigarette and that poor palm tree that just happened to be in the way caught fire from it or what. But soon enough, the fire trucks etc. were here to save the day.

Of course, the point of Vegas is to go to Defcon, and the point of Defcon is to drink ^H^H^H learn 1337 h@x0r sk177z. They used to have a game of Hacker Jeopardy, but this year it was switched to "The Leetest Link" . (And unfortunately, there was no TCP/IP drinking game saturday nite, just round 2 of Leetest Link).
