Breaking the Legacy
- In spite of their best intentions, parents tend to repeat
the very injuries they promise themselves they will never pass on. By understanding
how emotional injuries are handed down, how to break the cycle and heal
the damage, you can interrupt
the
painful pact of your legacy. The Parenting Process willl guide you
through this transformation to create conscious parenting.
- Based on the developmental themes of bonding,
mirroring, and separation,
The Parenting Process will teach you a different way of being with
your children. Because the process is both experiential and cognitive,
learning takes place from the inside out. Through lively discussions, thought-provoking
questionnaires and experiential exercises, the workshop leads you through
a discovery of your own childhood tender spots and emotional injuries.
It helps you see how and when those injuries get triggered by your children
and thus handed down in your families. The workshop then builds on that
awareness to teach you real-world ways to work through your issues and
develop healthier relationships with your kids.
